CME Statement

The Wayne State University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Wayne State University School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

As a result of attending this CME program, participants will gain the most updated information, which will help them in treating their patients in the most advanced and up-to-date procedures.

a) Educate and update on translational medicine.
b) Discuss health care economics in the topic of "Driving Health Care Value: The Employer’s Role and Imperative."
c) Summarize community medicine regarding inner city and working uninsured.
d) Update physicians in the area of neuroscience.
e) Demonstrate technology in medicine with regards to robotic surgery.
f) Explain changing ethics and patient education.
g) Introduce future plans for the School of Medicine, provide an update on the Richard J. Mazurek Education Commons and on the School.
